Installés à Kinshasa depuis près de six mois, des déplacés venus du Nord-Kivu et du Sud-Kivu dénoncent l’abandon dont ils se disent victimes. Fuyant les violences armées qui ravagent l’est de la République Démocratique du Congo, ces hommes, femmes et enfants avaient espéré trouver un havre de paix dans la capitale. Mais aujourd’hui, ils vivent dans des conditions précaires, sans aide ni soutien des autorités.
Réunis ce samedi 31 mai devant l’Assemblée nationale, ces rescapés ont exprimé leur détresse et exhorté le gouvernement à agir.
« Nous ne mangeons pas à notre faim, nous dormons à même le sol, et beaucoup tombent malades sans accès aux soins », témoigne l’un d’eux, la voix teintée de désespoir.
Les déplacés évoquent un manque criant de nourriture, d’abris décents, de soins médicaux et, surtout, l’absence d’une réponse gouvernementale coordonnée. Une situation qui les plonge dans une pauvreté extrême.
Simon Mukenge, porte-parole des déplacés de guerre du Nord et Sud-Kivu, résume leur souffrance :
« Nous sommes prêts à rentrer chez nous dès que la paix reviendra. Mais en attendant, nous avons besoin de vivre, d’apprendre, de travailler, de rêver… comme tous les citoyens congolais. »
La société civile, solidaire de ces déplacés, dénonce l’inaction des autorités. Un responsable d’une ONG locale s’insurge :
« Il est inacceptable que, dans la capitale même, des Congolais vivent comme des étrangers dans leur propre pays. »
Alors que la crise humanitaire persiste à l’Est, ces familles réfugiées à Kinshasa réclament un plan d’aide clair, un soutien social immédiat, et une stratégie durable pour leur réinstallation ou leur retour dans leurs provinces, une fois la paix restaurée.
Pour l’instant, leur appel reste sans réponse officielle. Mais leur message est limpide :
« Nous sommes Congolais et nous méritons d’être traités avec dignité. »
À noter : plus de 1 200 familles ont fui leur province d’origine, espérant reconstruire leur vie à Kinshasa. Mais sur place, elles font face à des difficultés quotidiennes, sans perspectives concrètes d’amélioration.
