Depuis le 4 juillet 2025, de nombreux habitants du Sud-Kivu ne peuvent plus effectuer de retraits, transferts, achats de forfaits ni autres opérations via Airtel Money. En cause : une grÚve déclenchée par les agents de transfert de monnaie électronique et de vente de services télécoms, en réaction à une décision controversée du gouvernement provincial.

Cette mesure interdit dĂ©sormais la perception de frais sur les transactions Ă©lectroniques, rendant, selon les grĂ©vistes, leur activitĂ© Ă©conomiquement insoutenable. Une situation que les reporters de Fact-OGL ont pu constater lors d’une descente sur terrain ce vendredi.

À Bukavu et dans d’autres localitĂ©s de la province, la quasi-totalitĂ© des kiosques Airtel Money sont restĂ©s portes closes. Pour de nombreux citoyens, cela signifie une coupure brutale d’accĂšs Ă  leurs finances.

« Nous dĂ©pendons de l’aide de nos proches vivant hors de la province. Aujourd’hui, nous ne pouvons ni recevoir ni retirer d’argent. C’est une situation inquiĂ©tante », tĂ©moigne un habitant rencontrĂ© par notre rĂ©daction.

La population interpelle les autoritĂ©s provinciales ainsi que les entreprises de tĂ©lĂ©communication Ă  ouvrir un dialogue urgent et transparent avec les agents en grĂšve, afin de trouver un compromis qui garantisse Ă  la fois la viabilitĂ© des points de service et l’accĂšs de la population Ă  leurs fonds.
