Dans une déclaration conjointe, ils exhortent toutes les parties impliquées dans le conflit à garantir un accès libre et sécurisé à l’aide humanitaire et aux services de base.
Les donateurs insistent sur l’urgence de permettre la distribution de l’eau potable, des soins de santé essentiels, de l’énergie et d’autres ressources indispensables à la survie des populations affectées. Ils jugent crucial que les acteurs humanitaires et du développement puissent opérer sans entrave et demandent des clarifications sur les modalités pratiques d’accès aux zones actuellement sous contrôle.
La déclaration salue également la signature récente de deux accords importants : une déclaration de principes entre la RDC et le Rwanda, ainsi qu’un engagement conjoint entre la RDC et l’AFC/M23, en faveur d’une trêve, d’un cessez-le-feu et de l’ouverture d’un dialogue.
Parmi les pays signataires figurent les États-Unis, la France, la Suisse, l’Allemagne, les Pays-Bas, la Norvège, la Suède, le Japon, le Canada et le Royaume-Uni. Ces nations réitèrent leur attachement au respect de la résolution 2773 du Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies.
